I believed (not so sure anymore) that the best thing that could have happened would have to give him another term beyond 2009. Because i believed and still believe that the argument advanced by the youth league; that the constitution reguires of the president to serve two terms, is flawed. Yes that is the general rule but with the required majority it can be ammended.I think the president through his actions of late ( by trying to win the confidence of the ANC faithful,myself being one) is really showing how desperare he is to have another term in office. To such an extent that he is becoming ANC drunk. Also,they are harping on about the past, forgetting the current real issues that stares us in the face, generally poverty, more spesific, unemplyoment, housing,acces adeqaute healtcare. Because if we do not demand the space to say what we beleive, that space might well disappear over time..... But doesn't this amount to treason, subversion, terrorism, sabotage, or whatever? In the old SA it would have easily been classified under one of those categories.
