As a Zimbabwean, I am happy to see the back of Thabo Mbeki. What a poor leader! He thinks we should sit down and solve our own problems with a dictator he is busy propping up? We should have let him deal with the Crocodile alone in his time of need!

The suffering of my people is not a matter for intellectualisation. It is a matter for action, care and empathy and not the hogwash I read from Pityana in the Star yesterday.

His threat to constitutional institutions like NPA are sad. Really sad. What of the silly shows at the UN!

Sadly, ANC seems not to learn fast. From Mbeki to Zuma is like swimming from a hippo to a crocodile. A buffoon is as dangerous as a dictator.

This is all too tame for me.... I think Minister Dlamini-Zuma should have rather opted for the "ex-wife washing some dirt in the open on her estranged husband" tactic.

Surely she has some first hand knowledge on her ex-hubby's position on women rights?? Maybe even include a comment that goes below the political belt....

This Polokwane congress is becoming a very good indicator of our country's democracy. Abuse of State Institutions, biased broadcaster, biased media and a lot of cloak and dagger / smoke and mirrors stuff.

To top it all I read in the newspaper today that Zuma's supporters in the Eastern Cape have chartered their own transport - fearing that a bus arranged by the Mbeki-camp may be sabotaged to break down on the way there and that they would then be prevented from voting!! If I where them I would rather be worried about the roadblocks held by the Police / Traffic to single out Zuma busses!!!

Personally, I would prefer not to be 'ruled' by anyone in the ANC. That being the impossible dream, I prefer Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma (at least she has a mind of her own) to Phumzile (whose permanent scowl is meant to make her look authoritative but can't hide her deep-seated feeling of insecurity), Lindiwe (who, as minister of housing, has continually screwed up), and Baleka (you can't be serious). Frankly, they're all bloody awful, and I'm getting very depressed. What we need is an entirely new generation of leaders, by which I don't mean anyone from the ANCYL. This country is getting way ahead of these struggle oldtimers.

Pierre, please: the plural of 'woman' is 'women' (pronounced 'wimmin').
